Amsterdam Design System is an open-source toolkit of ready-made components that are accessible (WCAG), adaptive, and user-friendly. Teams reuse them instead of starting from scratch on every project, saving time and money.
Published as separate packages for CSS, React, and design tokens, the system lets teams adopt just the parts they need. That makes it framework-agnostic and suitable for both tailor-made applications and SaaS applications.
NL Design System’s layered architecture lets other public organisations reuse these components and apply their own design tokens to tailor them to their own channels.
The team actively maintains the library, publishes regular releases, and welcomes contributions.
